What is your title? Sr. Administrative Coordinator

Would you like to share a little about your immediate family or family history?
My dad is a retired V.A. Veteran

How long have you been working at Georgia State University?
I started working at Georgia State University as a Student Assistant while I attended school here but I have been working permanently for 2 years now.

What do you do on a typical day?
I process Payment Request and Travel Authorizations, manage open PO’s and facilitate journal transfers. I initiate the hiring/termination and course buyouts for staff and faculty positions. I also manage/process quarterly reviews for P-Cards and proposals/award notice files.

How do you think your job supports the university’s mission?
I play a part in managing the budget/accounting area of the university. I review the shadow budget, update accounts for Graduate payroll and produce reports for the Chair.

What is your background?
I am a Georgia State University Alumni. I graduated with my B.S. in Public Policy.

What do you do when you are not at work?
I love going to festivals, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

What is your favorite thing in your office?
My view! I love looking out the window of my office. It overlooks the park and I love looking at the building outside of my office.

What don’t people know about you?
I love watching HGTV! I love getting ideas on decorating my house!

If you weren’t working at Georgia State, what would your ideal job be?
If I wasn’t working at Georgia State, I would probably be a school teacher. I recall teachers who made a difference in my life and I am grateful to them. Through teaching, students are able to discover the art of life and the art of learning.
